  • Borealis

    Borealis (bo/beau/they/them) is a social artist, full spectrum careworker, and educator with a practice rooted in the queer art of care. As a trans, disabled artist, Beau is intrigued by collective care, mutual aid, and conversation as pathways toward empowered future-building. They are the host of the forthcoming podcast Care Tactics, a counselor at the after-abortion support textline Exhale, and co-editor of the zine Assembled With Care. Kinfabula, a participatory installation concerned with kinship, complicity, and absence, runs at James Watrous Gallery this April 15 - June 22, 2022.   • Fanya Valencia

    Fanya (she/her/ella) started her career in finance, but came to recognize that her passion was to advocate for underrepresented and vulnerable communities. She wanted to make a difference in the Latino community and began by volunteering on the UNIDOS board of directors for 6 years. In 2019 she joined the UNIDOS staff working as a Sexual Assault Advocate. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children, family and friends. She also has a creative side, and enjoys arts and craft projects. In addition to working with and advocating for others, Fanya is a huge advocate for self-care as she realizes the importance of being able to bring your whole self to your ventures. She values the importance of mental health awareness and positive affirmations to stay centered and ready for her work and leisure time.

  • Inbal Sansani

    Inbal (she/her) is a transformational practitioner, women’s rights advocate and humanitarian aid worker focused on responding to and ending violence against women and girls. She supports professional women to take more control of their career and create a whole life that honors their values, needs and desire to be of service in some way. Inbal knows that each of us is inherently powerful and also interdependent with one another and the systems we live in. As a practitioner, she draws on multiple modalities within a feminist, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed approach.

    Inbal graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a B.A.; earned a Master of Philosophy in Ethnic and Racial Studies from Trinity College, Dublin; and a J.D. from the Washington College of Law, American University. She is also a former commercial litigator and legal aid attorney representing survivors of intimate partner violence.   • Teena Wilder

    Teena (she/they) is from Summerton, South Carolina and received their BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. They hold values in Black liberation, Restorative Justice, and Intersectional Feminism. Her favorite book is Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler.
