Get Involved

Volunteers are the lifeblood of RCC. In fact, RCC began as an all-volunteer crisis line when it was established as the second-ever rape crisis center in the United States, back in 1973! We know that many in our community want to give back and have amazing talents to share. Following are a few opportunities to do just that at RCC!

Helpline Advocates

Our volunteer helpline advocates are vital to RCC’s mission and play a crucial role in our ability to provide 24/7 immediate crisis response services to victims of sexual assault and their loved ones. Helpline advocates answer our 24-hour helpline on nights and weekends (20-shift commitment annually). Trainings are facilitated by RCC staff every winter, summer, and fall. To qualify, volunteers must attend all training sessions.
