The Mental Health Supervisor (MHS) is a licensed therapist with experience providing counseling and
and/or therapy to a diverse clientele of sexual assault survivors. The MHS is responsible for providing
clinical supervision to RCC’s advocacy staff, graduate level therapy interns and post-graduate therapists
who provide crisis counseling, stabilization, support groups and advocacy. The MHS is only responsible
for clinical supervision of advocacy and not staff management. The MHS is responsible for staff
management of graduate level therapy interns and post-graduate therapists as it related to their program
or licensure. The MHS provides trauma-informed, responsible, culturally competent, ethical counseling as
well as supervision that boosts the competency and capacity of advocacy staff, graduate level therapy
interns and post-graduate therapists to serve a wide range of survivors of sexual violence in Dane County.
All RCC employees must be committed to providing services with and to a variety of cultures with
cultural awareness, sensitivity and humility and all employees must complete the RCC Helpline training.
