RCC’s GameChangers is a team of high school students from across Dane County who are committed to engaging in activism & advocacy, while educating themselves and our community on rape culture and other intersecting oppressions that affect survivors of sexual violence.

GameChangers students serve as representatives of RCC and help inform how our Outreach & Education team engages with students we serve. They are an important part of RCC and we would love it if you applied to join us!

Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are now open!The deadline for applications is Friday, May 22nd, 2026 at 11:59pm. Students will be notified about their acceptance by mid-June!

  • Each year, RCC selects high school students from across Dane County to act as their youth advisory board. GameChangers learn about rape culture and other systems of oppression and work together on community service projects to help change the culture around sexual violence.

  • Current Dane County high school students who are: 

    • Passionate about social justice, collaboration, and community change

    • Excited to work with and connect with diverse peers

    • Ready and able regularly communicate via email and attend both in-person and virtual meetings.

    • BIPOC, LGBTQ+ folks, and students of marginalized identities are especially encouraged to apply!

  • GameChangers meet from September to early June with two meetings each month: a virtual meeting on a weekday evening and an in-person meeting on a Saturday.

    GameChangers spend additional time on independent assignments and work on projects outside of meeting time. Overall, GameChangers spend 8-10 hours working each month.

    Meals are provided at all in-person meetings and will accommodate any dietary restrictions.

    • Get paid $10/hour and reimbursed for mileage

    • Receive free meals at in-person meetings

    • Improve professional skills, including leadership, teamwork, and social awareness skills
